  BAMPTON, OXFORDSHIRE Tenancy Agreement Parties: 1) William Dutton of Bampton, grocer 2) James Dutton of Bampton, grocer Property: Messuage or tenament and grocer's shop in Bampton with warehouse, ash-house, carthouse, coal hole, stable, candlehouse, hovel, pig sty, pig vault and other premises. Consideration: £30 per annum. [26] James initially took over the Grocery business from his father William and ran it together with his wife Sybilla. However, James himself died at the age of 44 and Sybilla then handed the business over to George William Dutton. George was a year older than James so it is unclear why he didn't inherit official responsibility for the the business in the first place. He had apparently worked in the shop since the age of 17.
