• Notes

  Sidney Ling and Jim Stevens performed together as a comedy duo. Their stage name was Ling and Lingford. In newspaper articles they were descrbed as a 'comedy duo' and 'singing, cross-talk and knockabout comedians'. Ada Pullen once said they were the forerunners of Morecambe & Wise. Jim Stevens, under the name of J.W.Stevens, wrote many songs for the music hall.
