  In the Name of God Amen. This sixteenth day of December in the year of our Lord God 1705, I Stephen Barret the Elder of the parish of All Cannings in the County of Wiltshire, Yeoman, being ... and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God ... to mind the mortaliy of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ... this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to my and principally gift of my soul unto the hand of God who gave it me and for my body commend it to the earth to be buried in Christian and decent manner in the church ir churchyard of All Cannings at the direction of my Executors after nominating nothings ... doubting but all the general ... I shall pertain the same again by the mighty power of God and as counting my worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life the gift ... bequeath and dispose the same in manner and form following. I give my daughter Elizabeth one hundred pounds of lawfull English money to be paid by my Executors when she cometh unto the age of one and twenty. I give unto my daughter Mary one hundred pounds of like money to be paid as above said. I give unto my son John one hundred pounds of like money to be paid as above said. I give unto my son Thomas one hundred pounds of like money to be paid as above said. I gift unto my eldest son my copper furnance and boiler after the death of his mother. I give unto my godson Stephen Durnford five shillings and of this my last will and testament I make and ordain my loving wife Elizabeth my full and whole Executor of this my last will and testament and I do hereby disallow revoke all every former will ... bequeath and Executor by me in any wise before this time named willed and bequeathed or satifying and confirming this and no other to bring my last will and testament in witness whereof I have put my hand and seal this day and year first about written.
