  Charles Harbour had a brother called Alfred, who was killed in 1918. He also had a sister, Beartrice, who was sent to a private school. Charles was left to sleep rough when his Father went to hospital and later died. He was then sent to an Orphanage in Ongar - but his errant Mother took him home as a skivvy.
