  It is not certain who Joyce's parents were. Her mother's maiden name was MINTER; she was living with Alfred and Florence at the the time of the 1939 Register and Dorothy was the only daughter living at home; Joyce was granted probate for Florence; there in no mention of her parents or any family members in the newspaper report of her marriage; I am therefore assuming that her mother was Dorothy but this may be a wrong assumption.
