• Notes

  When Frederick's first wife died (possibly in child birth?) in late 1865, he was left with four very young children to care for. A few months later, he appears to have married, his sister in law, Laura Holloway. Frederick and Laura then had three further children together. However, when Frederick died in 1897, probate was granted to 'Laura Holloway, spinster' in addition to two other executors.
