  Gordon Finch Fishbourne of Staplestown House Co. Carlow had probate P.R. 17 June 1905. T 12508. Official copy W.O.G. T 11268. The partial index to the Carlow parish register shows a baptism in 1843 for a Gordon, "Fr. gentleman" . In 1866 William b.1799 appointed Gordon Finch Fishbourne, his second son, with Joseph Fishbourne b.1809, (William's brother) as his executors, according to an abstract of title of John Gardiner Fishbourne with respect to the lands of Springhill. These lands were the subject of the long running dispute about inheritance.
